GingeredRoute1 Goes Golfing

Sometimes it takes a different perspective to really appreciate something and that is exactly what happened to me when I took GingeredRoute1 out for a spin at Cedar Creek Country Club in Kemp, TX. Most of my adolescent years were spent driving a beat up 1950's golf cart around the "Quad C"  golf course. I was selling leaves to the neighbor kids from the top of the Oak tree in my backyard, building forts in the forested areas, diving in green ponds to look for free golf balls,  and losing friends because they fell off the back of my cart when I turned too fast at hole 9. I had fun but I never really appreciated the beauty of the course until last week.

I was a lucky kid.

New Gigs=New Toys

I'm always trying to find new an inventive ways to use my talent to help other businesses or just for fun. A year ago I was looking at homes and the realtor made a few comments about how bad the  photos of her homes were on her website. I mentioned that I was a photographer and how I thought it would be so awesome if more agencies used video walkthroughs for their homes online and drone photography to show the outside of the home along with the property. Fast-forward almost a year later and she calls me asking if I want to take some drone video/photography of some commercial property she's about to list. Like every photographer I responded with:

"I'd love to!"

Problem? I no longer have access to the drone I had when I suggested this idea. What does this mean? It means I have a reason to invest in a new toy...**cough cough**.. I mean tool. After lot's of research, but not as much as I would have liked I added a DJI Phantom 3 4K to my arsenal of photo tools. I won't bore you with the details and specs but if you really want to you can check it out over on the right side of your screen. It flies just like my giant professional grade drone I had in 2015 but the gimbal seems to be upgraded quite a bit from my last rig and the quality of the video is leaps and bounds better than I've worked with on any other attached-camera drone. I have had much time with it so far but I've uploaded a quick video I was able to take at Griggs Park right outside of Downtown Dallas, TX.

Let me know what you think!
